Willy Stieler hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Siggman came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 24th minute of play forced corsaire nantais's goalkeeper Eliseu do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, corsaire nantais's Tobias Siggman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Tobias Siggman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu do Valle having to make a save. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Siggman in the 31st minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Tony Chopin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Willy Stieler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eliseu do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseu do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Siggman made a kick off. In the 55th minute Tobias Siggman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. corsaire nantais made a substitution. Désiré Auriol replaced Clément Dupouy. When Tobias Siggman came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the corsaire nantais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Siggman couldn't finish the play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tobias Siggman went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tobias Siggman scored 3-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Tobias Siggman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. corsaire nantais's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
