Loco De Remate's Okanalp Öksal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Rene Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loco De Remate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After taking down the ball on Italy's corner Sigfrido Auletta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Okanalp Öksal quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rene Aires made a kick off. Feliciano Iratxo hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Aires in the 52nd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
