The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Porziano Marchitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Porziano Marchitelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Fil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Italy booed when Xentrias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Rudberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo Fil. Xentrias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Fil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 23rd match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Cutri to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doctor Mugg, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Porziano Marchitelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Fil having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 29th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Theo Fil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Zaccheo Andolina in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Xentrias's Christer Peterson was substituted for Albert Rudberg. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xentrias's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. 45 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Doctor Mugg came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doctor Mugg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theo Fil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigfrido Auletta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xentrias's Magdaleno Andersson was substituted for Doctor Mugg. Flavio Vittori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magdaleno Andersson went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Almstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The Xentrias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Fil should have stopped the shot. Theo Fil didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Italy's Adriano Curto shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-5 in the ordered_time% minute. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xentrias.
