Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Hungary's Antal Valentin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Boros Benedek got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Pombal in the 4th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eguen Armesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Cruzeiro RS getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zé Paulo Pombal hit a great ball. Eguen Armesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eguen Armesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Paulo Pombal hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Paulo Pombal got free with Fodor Daniel in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Zé Paulo Pombal took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Fodor Daniel to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Pombal in the 26th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cruzeiro RS defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eguen Armesto. The Cruzeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eguen Armesto should have stopped the shot. Eguen Armesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto. Eguen Armesto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro RS's João Augusto Vides got a free kick in the 41st minute. Eguen Armesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Paulo Pombal to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Cruzeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Rodriguinho Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eguen Armesto having to interfere. Cruzeiro RS's Oséas Tasso was substituted for Tiago Esteves. With a little luck, Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 minutes Cruzeiro RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Cruzeiro RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Antal Valentin scored to the left of an out of position Eguen Armesto, making the score, 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eguen Armesto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Eguen Armesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eguen Armesto was a little too slow when Balazs Lajos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-6. The Cruzeiro RS fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Cruzeiro RS's Zé Paulo Pombal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Paulo Pombal went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-6 was the resulting score.
