Napoleon Dziedelonis came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Zaccheo Andolina. But to his dismay, Zaccheo Andolina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Feliciano Harri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venancio Calisto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Sigfrido Auletta, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eduardo Vachon, made in the 51st minute of the game. After 54 minutes of play, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 94 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Siricio Liotta. Italy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
