Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Milan's Pierre Leyden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reese Dobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Erik Jilek made a precise shot to the right of Case Hicks. Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th minute, Remington Gillingwater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Alan Rezek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Case Hicks. Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Rezek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Milan defense, Alan Rezek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Case Hicks. The Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Case Hicks should have stopped the shot. Czech Republic were furious when Valdemar Turecek was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 26th minute, one of Czech Republic:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Czech Republic. In the 31st minute Denis Dostal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Case Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Dostal to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Leyden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Rezek came free, but Case Hicks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corbett Coburn in the 41st minute of the match. Vavrinec Holub made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corbett Coburn in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Dostal made a kick off. Corbett Coburn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vavrinec Holub having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Pierre Leyden notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Milan getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Remington Gillingwater hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Denis Dostal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Dostal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Case Hicks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corbett Coburn might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corbett Coburn ran back to his position shaking his head. Kvetoslav Janku kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Pierre Leyden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Czech Republic were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Milan's much stronger midfield.
