After a rather tough play, England's Xavier Gallagher got a free kick in the 13th minute. Teobaldo Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Issac Dawson came free, but Andres Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Andres Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Issac Dawson in the 19th minute of play. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Laurentzi in the 21st minute of play. Andres Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Saturnino Cuartio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, England's Khalid Kennedy got control of the ball when Teobaldo Ubarna tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Ubarna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
