The corner ended in Niilo Mikkola almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. In the 10th minute of the match, Leif Törnqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 11th minute of the match SeleSantos FC got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niilo Mikkola ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Niilo Mikkola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 12th minute of the match, Jacobo Casado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 17th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Niilo Mikkola struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SeleSantos FC. The supporters of Germany booed when SeleSantos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niilo Mikkola in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Frank Sachs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Niilo Mikkola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niilo Mikkola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niilo Mikkola's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niilo Mikkola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leif Törnqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Dreifuss during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Norberto Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when SeleSantos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Frank Sachs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Trevisan in the 87th minute of play. After 91 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Niilo Mikkola. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. SeleSantos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
