Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basilio Fagondo in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Basilio Fagondo didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 17th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Basilio Fagondo ran dejectedly back to his position. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Frank Sachs hit a great ball. Ezequiel Ceballos replaced Ismael Guilabertus. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Stefan Warka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot.
