Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, A.A. Francana's Charlie Boström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 27 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Secco. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Boström in the 29th minute of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aykut Canel went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Bernardo Bettencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Caetano Pique in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Albin Holweck. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 minutes, Chris Mergenthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the A.A. Francana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Germany! When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, A.A. Francana's Bartosz Bereszynski got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tommy Kahn. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Caetano Pique hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Charlie Boström scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 61st minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, A.A. Francana's Renan Melo got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charlie Boström might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charlie Boström ran back to his position shaking his head. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. Renan Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Dreifuss in the 74th minute of play. Renan Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Francana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
