C. A. Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 5th minute of the game Aquiles Manex made a throw-in which Teodoro Primo played forward. Simão do Vale hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Sasoin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 11th minute, Deilmison van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Tony Guimarães. C. A. Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 14 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Guimarães having to make a save. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Deilmison van Basten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Guimarães having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Guimarães. But to his dismay, Deilmison van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Primo was the one to do the kick off. Robin van Persie kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C. A. Atlanta defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. The C. A. Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Guimarães should have stopped the shot. When Sixto Manilan fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Atlanta's protests and gave Sixto Manilan a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Tony Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Deilmison van Basten, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 69 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gaétan Govou managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sixto Manilan in the 72 minute of the game. Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Tony Guimarães in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Guimarães having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 83rd minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Deilmison van Basten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tony Guimarães. The goal made the score 0-10. Robin van Persie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Everardo Rio with Apolo Artizar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ATHLETICO PRaiano eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
