After 18 played minutes Wambalamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Pilgren. 22 minutes in the game, João Carlos Vianna fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eugenio Asier having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mauricio Macías's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cris Courtois was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. CERPA's attentive Natalio Kusko managed to snatch the ball when Rolf Pilgren made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. Mauricio Macías received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cris Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Denturck's late challenge caught a Wambalamba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

CERPA made a substitution. Ignacio Viviano replaced Esteve Seber. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Macías in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cris Courtois saved Wambalamba FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, CERPA's Natalio Kusko got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Robin Steckamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugenio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Steckamp in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Macías came free, but Cris Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wambalamba FC's Léo Souto was substituted for João Carlos Vianna. After a defensive mix-up in Wambalamba FC's zone, Mauricio Macías stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cris Courtois came out of the goal and Mauricio Macías tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Jacek Przybyciel got a free kick in the 96th minute. Felipe Xabat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cris Courtois. Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the CERPA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wambalamba FC.
