The audience thought a goal was coming when 韩谦钢 got free with Rodriguinho Sousa in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ≮王者归来≯匪匪占山为王's Luizinho Paraíba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Simão do Vale, made in the 16th minute of the game. Simão do Vale made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Deilmison van Basten immediately put the ball in play. Rodriguinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when 莫克城 sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute of the game 傅斌博 made a throw-in which Leszek Osielski played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by 莫克城 in the 29th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute 莫克城 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Hedman hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Kurt Hedman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilmar de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 37th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Deilmison van Basten made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by 莫克城 in the 66th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 莫克城, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. ≮王者归来≯匪匪占山为王 made a substitution. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 楚光响 in the 91st minute of the match. Nilmar de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Robin van Persie got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nilmar de Castro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 95 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Gaétan Govou. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
