Cristiano Aveiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiburcio Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Aveiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ata Türk came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Marques in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Nacional from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Aveiro was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Marques in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Nacional from getting behind. Tiburcio Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiburcio Marques was the one to do the kick off.
