Defensores del Ángel Gris's Serafim Catranides managed to work through Plaza Jewell's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Serafim Catranides dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Freddy Amato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nicolás DAndrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 minutes of play, Plaza Jewell's Salvador Roland made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolás DAndrea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Plaza Jewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Strömbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolás DAndrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Iratxo in the 21st minute of play. Freddy Amato scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolás DAndrea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Amato in the 30th minute of play forced Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Nicolás DAndrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Plaza Jewell got a corner. Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Iratxo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Amato in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolás DAndrea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th match minute, Defensores del Ángel Gris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Catranides to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei got control of the ball when Eleuterio Chabier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Plaza Jewell from getting a goal against them. Pablo Mei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Musko in the 47th minute. The Defensores del Ángel Gris players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Plaza Jewell were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Amato to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Plaza Jewell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. Nicolás DAndrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Amato in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes Defensores del Ángel Gris got a freekick which was hit by Marco Gabon. Plaza Jewell's Aristides Iratxo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Defensores del Ángel Gris. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Musko in the 66th minute of play forced Plaza Jewell's goalkeeper Pablo Mei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zabal Ubeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás DAndrea having to interfere. The Plaza Jewell players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
