In the 13th minute Mümin Gülerce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Domazet during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Benjamin Domazet got a free kick in the 19th minute. Martin Bosak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 范烽海 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Selahaddin Malik made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Neven Culina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neven Culina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erim Süleymanoğlu in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Selahaddin Malik came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neven Culina kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erim Süleymanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Dinko Stankovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 范烽海 having to interfere. Kapalicarsi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Toni Mauzer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dinko Stankovic made a great header on Croatia's corner, it was just that Kapalicarsi's 范烽海 managed to reach the ball for a save. After 84 minutes, Damir Pongrac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the Kapalicarsi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 minutes of play, Kapalicarsi's Mümin Gülerce made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, Mümin Gülerce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 95th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damir Pongrac to maneuver through the defense. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selahaddin Malik in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kapalicarsi fully deserved thier win.
