The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano got a free kick in the 25th minute. Aníbal Alagoano took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arcan Siralp during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Arcan Siralp. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 50th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Karl Pilgren firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute Ricardinho Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Ricardinho Pena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jenipapo SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Jenipapo SC's Ricardinho Pena. But to his dismay, Ricardinho Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Karl Pilgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 74th minute. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jenipapo SC's goalie prevented a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Junior came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Zé Carlos Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Jenipapo SC from getting a goal against them. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Pilgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Junior. After 93 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jenipapo SC could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
