Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Aznar's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Kleopas Plouffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kleopas Plouffe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Inautzi Quesada in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 29th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Kleopas Plouffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Defensores de Mar de Ajó defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kleopas Plouffe. The Defensores de Mar de Ajó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kleopas Plouffe should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Bruno Bastos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Cesar Romildo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Elequemedo in the 66th minute of the match. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. The audience was convinced that Gogo Elequemedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Alberto Aznar made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th match minute, Defensores de Mar de Ajó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Best to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes Defensores de Mar de Ajó got a freekick which was hit by David Best. Bartolomeu Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Kleopas Plouffe made a huge save.
