Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viriato Moura kicked off to start the match. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Roland in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Melchor Napier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guido Luzaide who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Pimentel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Cristian Naike came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Naike couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Roland came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wilson Amorim could save by the left post. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Caetano Moreira hit a great ball. A hard shot by Guido Luzaide from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Wilson Amorim's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 32 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Vitin. Vélez Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viriato Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nicolas Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Naike in the 37th minute of play. Cristian Naike might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Naike ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Donato Efraim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Naike was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 59 minutes of play, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Luzaide in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Godofredo Ado replaced Santos Fonda. In the 65th minute Vélez Juniors were awarded a corner. Guido Luzaide went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 65th minute, Severo Maule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Severo Maule hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elpidio Vitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Portugal booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Moreira got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Ado in the 75th minute of play. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 76th minute of play. Elpidio Vitin came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipinho Amorim. But to his dismay, Felipinho Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Caetano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Efraim in the 85th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Vitin having to make a save. Elpidio Vitin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 91st minute. Elpidio Vitin made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
