An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 30th minute of play forced FC Pepe Burrón's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 34th minute of play. Portugal:s Wilson Amorim showed great skill when he stopped Tiémoué Bakayoko:s penalty. In the 41st minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Rivera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Galván's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Galván helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Galván hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Felipinho Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Pepe Burrón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
