Gabriel Ascaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Jeremias Orland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jeremias Orland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Orland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 39th minute, Emilio Ramone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Spain booed when Pesqueira City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Jeremias Orland as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 64 minutes Spain's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Pedro Borges who took care of the corner kick. Emilio Ramone was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
