An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 13th minute of play forced BOHEMIAN's goalkeeper Oskar Beckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind BOHEMIAN's goalkeeper Oskar Beckström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of BOHEMIAN booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Klim Kostygin sent off a good shot on target. BOHEMIAN's Oskar Beckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of play. Oskar Beckström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klim Kostygin made a kick off. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Rodolfo Rafaeli hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Oskar Beckström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 92 minute of play. After 95 played minutes BOHEMIAN got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Goito. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martijn Rockloos went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BOHEMIAN throughout the match.
