The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Silva got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Pacheco came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alperen Öksüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. New England Minas's Edgardo Silva came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Gabriel Ascaso had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 25th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on New England Minas's corner Glen Conklin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Ascaso quite easily take care of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 32nd minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Silva. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Spain getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Enrique Rabellino hit a great ball. Jeremy Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Omar Toledo sent off a good shot on target. The attack was good, but when Oscar Nordmark in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. New England Minas's Tio Lio was substituted for Edgardo Silva. The supporters of Spain booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmitt Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Emmitt Benson hit a great ball. Emmitt Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Cubero was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. Carles Cherro made a great header on Spain's corner, it was just that New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas managed to reach the ball for a save.
