Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Gigel Bucur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Gigel Bucur took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hias Nüssli to make any attempt to save it. But to his dismay, Gigel Bucur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gigel Bucur struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The goal made the score 6-0. 31 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Bucur came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Allan Olsmann who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Bucur in the 38th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
