Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodríguez Tome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Liga de Quito's Rodríguez Tome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 24th minute of play. Rodríguez Tome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Liga de Quito's Rodríguez Tome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 43rd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Liga de Quito's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodríguez Tome came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vörös Henrik got free with Rodríguez Tome in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Ferreras in the 56th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 57th minute, but Rodríguez Tome got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Liga de Quito hanging dry this time. In the 60th minute, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodríguez Tome. Rodríguez Tome yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Lucien Senden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodríguez Tome made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Ferreras in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Liga de Quito's Rodríguez Tome. Rodríguez Tome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liga de Quito's Rodríguez Tome proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Liga de Quito from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Marcel Răducanu hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Dario Ferreras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Rodríguez Tome, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antal Valentin charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antal Valentin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Antal Valentin got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Major Barna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Liga de Quito.
