Metod Mlynar took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sören Alebom. Sören Alebom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Metod Mlynar in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sören Alebom saved Esporte Clube Zeus from getting behind. Zé Carlos da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Carlos da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Sérgio Peres got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Zé Carlos da Cunha. Sérgio Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Metod Mlynar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrich Slany made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Zé Carlos da Cunha sent off a good shot on target.

A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Daniel Suchy hit a great ball. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos da Cunha in the 56th minute of the match. Sören Alebom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 59th minute. Sérgio Peres hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Esporte Clube Zeus's Sören Alebom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Esporte Clube Zeus from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos da Cunha came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Havel's late challenge caught a Esporte Clube Zeus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Havel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Stefan Havel got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Zeus's goal looked a bit too open when Metod Mlynar came free, but Sören Alebom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes, Kiko Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Clube Zeus and the Slovakia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Esporte Clube Zeus got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Coelho. Sören Alebom made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Metod Mlynar sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Slovakia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
