With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paolo Arripe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paolo Arripe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Pietras in the 7th minute of play. Józef Wandzik came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by GOMEZ F.C.'s Patricio Lloret. But to his dismay, Patricio Lloret quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Iwan Zahemski struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Paolo Arripe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos 1984 NewDance. In the 15th minute, GOMEZ F.C.'s Patricio Lloret dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The supporters of GOMEZ F.C. booed when Cosmos 1984 NewDance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janusz Bubczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, João Keane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Józef Wandzik. The goal made the score 3-0. Paolo Arripe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Jajecznica in the 30th minute of the match. João Keane received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Józef Wandzik came out and tried to block the shot, but João Keane slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Jajecznica in the 36th minute of play forced GOMEZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Paolo Arripe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Arripe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Pietras in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to GOMEZ F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ivan Langarica hit a great ball. Patricio Lloret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Lloret to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenon Jajecznica got free with Paolo Arripe in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paolo Arripe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Pietras's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Jan Pietras fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high.
