João Keane was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 1-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when João Keane elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Åhlberg made a kick off. When Vicente Wiseman came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the GOMEZ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Wiseman couldn't finish the play. Björnlunda IF's Calle Helberg got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Björnlunda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Aceves came free, but Stefan Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Wiseman in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Keane in the 62nd minute of play forced Björnlunda IF's goalkeeper Stefan Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
