Aldo Buinton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Westbam:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Inter Craiova:s goal. In the 12th minute, Bartosz Mochowak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teofil Skaradowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teofil Skaradowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Petru having to interfere. Bartosz Mochowak took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Petru. Manuel Petru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 24th minute, Vali Curea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Teofil Skaradowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbam's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofil Skaradowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Petru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gwidon Iwanowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Petruț's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Irinel Petruț scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gwidon Iwanowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Irinel Petruț in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwidon Iwanowski saved Westbam from getting behind. A collision led to FC Inter Craiova getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Vali Curea hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Craiova's Vali Curea got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 47 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Klement Pawlak. After the first half FC Inter Craiova were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Westbam's Teofil Skaradowski got a free kick in the 55th minute. Irinel Petruț took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwidon Iwanowski. Gwidon Iwanowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Skaradowski in the 70th minute of play forced FC Inter Craiova's goalkeeper Manuel Petru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irinel Petruț hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Alex Spiru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwidon Iwanowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute Alex Spiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Iwanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irinel Petruț during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the match, Anton Nicodim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gwidon Iwanowski, 1-4. After 86 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Bartosz Mochowak. After having played for 89 minutes, Teofil Skaradowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westbam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofil Skaradowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliodor Rebengiuc hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Gwidon Iwanowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The FC Inter Craiova players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
