Bucéfalo FC's Tico Mole couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Inter Gala. Betão Lopez's late challenge caught a Bucéfalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Betão Lopez hit a great ball. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Domingues in the 23rd minute of play. Pedro Luís Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Baptista in the 25th minute of the match. Antônio Ceresso hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Edgard Costa hit a great ball. Hélder Mendes, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tico Mole made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Agostinho Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Zézinho Severo hit a great ball. Bucéfalo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Agostinho Domingues scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Luís Montenegro, making the score, 1-2. Romário Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Hélder Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Luís Montenegro. Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Lopez in the 79th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Mendes scored 1-3 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 minutes of play, Bucéfalo FC's Antônio Ceresso made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Eduardo Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Thomás Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Inter Gala's Percy Baptista in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bucéfalo FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Inter Gala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Inter Gala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
