The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Eduardo Valle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Paulo de Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Eduardo Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Soeiro came free, but Luís Eduardo Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Inter Gala's Luís Eduardo Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Paraíba in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Matheus Paraíba made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Eduardo Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Inter Gala defense, Alexandre Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Valle. The Inter Gala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo Valle should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Paraíba in the 44th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Matheus Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Gala's Luís Eduardo Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisão Secco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
