In the 22ndth minute of the game Anfilogino Sasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jacob Madruga scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carl-Chester Vallgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carl-Chester Vallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Madruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wilhelm Qvarnström was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. VBL Stockholm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacob Madruga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 75th minute Anfilogino Sasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Anfilogino Sasso made a precise shot to the right of Carl-Chester Vallgren. VBL Stockholm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. A collision led to VBL Stockholm getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Olov Johnsson hit a great ball. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Madruga in the 84th minute of the match. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Madruga in the 87th minute of play. VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Hagi in the 90th minute of play. Olov Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Josué Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Gheorghe Hagi made a precise shot to the right of Carl-Chester Vallgren. VBL Stockholm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC SOLOTHURN fully deserved thier win.
