In the 23rd minute, Remigio Chico made a precise shot to the right of Vincent Van Mechelen. YR Mechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After having played for 26 minutes, Cazimir Ogășanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE7EN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Ogășanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remigio Chico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Van Mechelen having to interfere. Vincent Van Mechelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Chico's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Vincent Van Mechelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isto Leppiniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Remigio Chico might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vincent Van Mechelen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Chico ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Chico came free, but Vincent Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Vincent Van Mechelen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isto Leppiniemi in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincent Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. Remigio Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Vincent Van Mechelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SE7EN's Sven-Erik Fransson got control of the ball when Gwen Shamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Remigio Chico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE7EN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Chico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remigio Chico took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Van Mechelen. Vincent Van Mechelen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remigio Chico was the one to do the kick off. If Stanny Van Wontergem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Van Mechelen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SE7EN's Isto Leppiniemi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Vincent Van Mechelen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sten Abrahamsson. Vincent Van Mechelen was a little too slow when Isto Leppiniemi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-6. With a little luck, YR Mechelen's Vincent Van Mechelen got control of the ball when Remigio Chico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobias Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, SE7EN's Isto Leppiniemi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vincent Van Mechelen. Vincent Van Mechelen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. If Isto Leppiniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SE7EN made a substitution. Alfred Karlsson replaced Erling Åkerman. Remigio Chico scored 0-8 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Van Mechelen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remigio Chico took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Van Mechelen. Vincent Van Mechelen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Vincent Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Chico in the 86th minute of the match. Vincent Van Mechelen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigio Chico in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isto Leppiniemi in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincent Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. Jan-Pieter Koninckx hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The YR Mechelen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SE7EN were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
