Olov Johnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kåre Tolsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olov Johnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Kåre Tolsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Ermano in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, VBL Stockholm's Olov Johnsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Chornyj in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Ermano came free, but Carl-Chester Vallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Mykhaylo Slavik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Teo Marin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl-Chester Vallgren was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Kaszubik, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The throw-in from Olof Biörk in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GREMIO's Igor Butenin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Johnsson in the 32nd minute of play forced GREMIO's goalkeeper Kåre Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes, Börje Alén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VBL Stockholm and the GREMIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VBL Stockholm's Börje Alén got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Kåre Tolsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Johnsson in the 35th minute of play. VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Marin in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute GREMIO were awarded a corner. Dmytro Maschenko went to the cornerflag to take it. Dmytro Maschenko made a great header on GREMIO's corner, it was just that VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren managed to reach the ball for a save. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Marin in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, VBL Stockholm's Wilhelm Qvarnström got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Teo Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Johnsson took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kåre Tolsson. Kåre Tolsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 67th minute, Jonatan Olsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl-Chester Vallgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Symon Kvasyuk in the 71st minute. Mykhaylo Slavik got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Igor Chornyj. Basilio Ermanos short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Carl-Chester Vallgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 76 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Kaszubik came free, but Carl-Chester Vallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Ermano in the 77th minute of play forced VBL Stockholm's goalkeeper Carl-Chester Vallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 81 in the game by Teo Marin from a close distance when the talented Carl-Chester Vallgren managed to make a qualified save. VBL Stockholm's players were relieved. 84 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goalkeeper Carl-Chester Vallgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basilio Ermano. Eerik Lilleorg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kåre Tolsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, GREMIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Chornyj to maneuver through the defense. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Marin in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren got control of the ball when Czeslaw Kaszubik tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Olov Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The VBL Stockholm players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
