LOS TRES PIERNAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Czeslaw Kaszubik sped through LOS TRES PIERNAS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Tome. When GREMIO's Teo Marin in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LOS TRES PIERNAS's goalie prevented a goal. If Mykhaylo Slavik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. Danilo Tome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to LOS TRES PIERNAS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Baldomiro Lobo hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, LOS TRES PIERNAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Lobo to maneuver through the defense. GREMIO were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after LOS TRES PIERNAS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mykhaylo Slavik took the corner. Czeslaw Kaszubiks short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Danilo Tome to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 36 minutes into the game, Czeslaw Kaszubik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Danilo Tome was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Czeslaw Kaszubik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Tome was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Lisandro Feliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kåre Tolsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basilio Ermano got free with Danilo Tome in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Haroldo Romelio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Lisandro Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS TRES PIERNAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Feliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kåre Tolsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GREMIO's Kåre Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Romelio in the 52nd minute of play. Kåre Tolsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Romelio in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Teo Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GREMIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Marin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Tome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Kaszubik, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to LOS TRES PIERNAS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lisandro Feliz hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Teo Marin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Tome was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Kåre Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Romelio in the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, LOS TRES PIERNAS's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Kaszubik came free, but Danilo Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match GREMIO got a corner. LOS TRES PIERNAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mykhaylo Slavik ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on GREMIO's corner Mykhaylo Slavik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Danilo Tome quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as LOS TRES PIERNAS's Valentin Orzaize slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kåre Tolsson. That made the score 5-2 after 83 minutes of play. The supporters of GREMIO booed when LOS TRES PIERNAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Mykhaylo Slavik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Tome showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, LOS TRES PIERNAS's Lisandro Feliz got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute Czeslaw Kaszubik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the GREMIO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
