With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kai Havertz in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wlodzimierz Cipinski saved GAIS from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Kai Havertz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Kai Havertz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a huge save. Nizam Şafak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Björling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
