The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Though ot was a great shot Locomotiva grena's keeper Dorian Machado was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Marcus Nilsson made a great header on Mansfield Town FC's corner, it was just that Locomotiva grena's Dorian Machado managed to reach the ball for a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Sandell was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes Locomotiva grena got a freekick which was hit by Precioso Barcaiztegui. In the 60th minute Mansfield Town FC were awarded a corner. In the 91st minute, Marcus Nilsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mansfield Town FC's Andreas Sandell got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Chiquinho Martins fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Locomotiva grena's protests and gave Chiquinho Martins a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mansfield Town FC booed when Locomotiva grena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mansfield Town FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Locomotiva grena had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
