CAN ERZURUM's Cengizhan Soyurgal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gugu Fontes in the 40 minute of the game. CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Christian Faria made the kick off in the second half. Dorian Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
