Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, DON RAMON 72 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Sanvicente to maneuver through the defense. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Primeiro having to interfere. The supporters of DON RAMON 72 booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Walter Sanvicente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Fermin Laurendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind DON RAMON 72's goalkeeper Jairo Primeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Primeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to DON RAMON 72 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Walter Sanvicente hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of DON RAMON 72's Jairo Primeiro. Jairo Primeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Rolando Urtsua reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Urtsua in the 52nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Laurendi scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Laurendi came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingos Gervaso in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Gervaso in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Gervaso's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Jairo Primeiro made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, DON RAMON 72's Pastor Pio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Urtsua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes, DON RAMON 72's Vinicio Dayam shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DON RAMON 72 reached it. In the 95th minute Domingos Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
