Aniceto Campello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurinho Mota who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Tommy Kahn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Aniceto Campello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aniceto Campello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aniceto Campello, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Gonzalez in the 55th minute of the match. Quentin Gonzalez took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aniceto Campello went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Aniceto Campello scored 3-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute of the match Isi Courtois sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn skillfully saved the ball. In the 75th minute, Isi Courtois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Maravilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Isi Courtois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aniceto Campello in the 82nd minute of the match. Atlético Maravilla's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Frank Sachs scored to the left of an out of position Cordairo Segura, making the score, 4-1. In the 88th minute Aniceto Campello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cordairo Segura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 92nd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atlético Maravilla fully deserved thier win.
