Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Lain in the 8th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Urtsua, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ismael Bihar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anier Urbasa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Cochisuma's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Ismael Bihar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Meesters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Bihar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Bernabe Aureo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 minutes, Bernabe Aureo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cochisuma and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Bihar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cochisuma's Ismael Bihar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Cochisuma's Saturnino Paez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 39 minutes into the match, Cochisuma's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Ismael Bihar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Bihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Damian Deunoro's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Deunoro helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Cochisuma got a freekick which was hit by Damian Deunoro. In the 44th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Ismael Bihar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Cochisuma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Negreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 58th minute. At last the ball reached David Eikelkamp at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Cochisuma. 1-4. 60 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ismael Bihar. Gijsbert ter Kruimer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ismael Bihar made a huge save. Cochisuma's Ismael Bihar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cochisuma from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cochisuma's Anier Urbasa got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Lain came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Bihar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Paez in the 88th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ismael Bihar made a huge save. Ismael Bihar was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cochisuma.
