Muriel Becker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fabricio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Portugal booed when AnÐaRaHy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 20th minute of play forced AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Muriel Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Henrique Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Henrique Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Henrique Almeida notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Henrique Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Almeida got free with Wilson Amorim in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee gave Portugal a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felipe Barreto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AnÐaRaHy's Muriel Becker. 2-2. Muriel Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 42nd minute of the match. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Muriel Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Henrique Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. After 60th play minutes Felipe Barreto shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Muriel Becker and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, AnÐaRaHy's Thiago da Silva got a free kick in the 64th minute. Muriel Becker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Henrique Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Fabricio Andrade made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AnÐaRaHy's Henrique Almeida. Cyprian Gierlach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AnÐaRaHy's attentive Durvalino Varela managed to snatch the ball when Fabricio Andrade made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Henrique Almeida scored 4-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 5-4 when Cyprian Gierlach sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. 94 minutes into the match, AnÐaRaHy's Henrique Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
