Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the game, Qiu Fan Ran threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belgium's Sander Dermaut quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the C. A. Independiente defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farid Mondragón. The C. A. Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farid Mondragón should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Mondragón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the game, Kerry Sellers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 minutes C. A. Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 29th minute of play. Belgium's attentive Guillaume Bonte managed to snatch the ball when Erberk Müftüoğlu made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Guillaume Bonte hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton was substituted for Sidney Forbes. After 35 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Bonte. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 36th minute of the match. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers. But to his dismay, Kerry Sellers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 48th minute of the match, Tommie Bolton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Casper Claes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Farid Mondragón made a huge save. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 64th minute of play. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Bolton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Kerry Sellers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Bolton came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tommie Bolton was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Independiente's players had a chance to rest. C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 72 minutes, Kerry Sellers made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Casper Claes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-1 in the ordered_time% minute.
