Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remco Dekker started the match with the kick off. Decathlon Anderlecht's Ciro Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 11th minute of play forced Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mattijs Klaes came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Lira saved Decathlon Anderlecht from getting behind. Ciro Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richy Valkeneers in the 23rd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Lira having to make a save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Lira having to interfere. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Dekker in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 42nd minute of play forced Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Marcus Odin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ciro Lira to make any attempt to save it. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Odin came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Decathlon Anderlecht fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Decathlon Anderlecht's Remco Dekker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 66th minute, David Eikelkamp fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ciro Lira, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Decathlon Anderlecht's Ciro Lira got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Decathlon Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Wijgaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciro Lira came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Decathlon Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute of the game Tobias Wijgaert made a throw-in which Bill Peers played forward. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Odin in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute Mattijs Klaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes in the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ciro Lira having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Marcus Odin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
