Inter de Urquiza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dario Cvitanich in the 12th minute. Aleksander Marciewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Markel to make the kick off. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Markel in the 52nd minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Benicio Martxelin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Urquiza's goalkeeper Aleksander Marciewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute Ulrich Haugbølle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hungary walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
