Ersen Bumba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ersen Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Baptista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Szekeres Tamas made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Takacs Tibor. Carlos Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balazs Lajos in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Ersen Bumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ersen Bumba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. After 42 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Boros Benedek. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Baptista quite easily take care of the ball. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Emre Mor was substituted for Atilla Tarkan Ulgu. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ersen Bumba, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 76th minute of play forced ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mete Karabugra's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mete Karabugra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Mete Karabugra got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hungary booed when ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mete Karabugra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Hajder. Carlos Baptista acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Antal Valentin. Many of Hungary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hungary may have spent more time on the ball, but ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
