In the 25th minute, Couto Mixto F.C.'s Wei De Ling ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Christopher Langford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 27th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Blain in the 35th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Christopher Langford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Langford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wei De Ling made the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Langford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Couto Mixto F.C.'s goalkeeper Christopher Langford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Christopher Langford successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Christopher Langford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Couto Mixto F.C.'s Christopher Langford managed to reach the ball for a save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christopher Langford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Wei De Ling came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. David Eikelkamp was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 86 minutes into the match. Couto Mixto F.C. made a substitution. Peru Casals replaced Wei De Ling. Wim Wilmes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Christopher Langford when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peru Casals in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Couto Mixto F.C..
