In the 7th minute, David Aranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valeriu Hoisie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Toledo in the 12th minute of play forced FC Bodil United's goalkeeper Valeriu Hoisie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Spain's Matias Ferrandis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Matias Ferrandis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Spain protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Matias Ferrandis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wu Hao Xu in the 17th minute of play. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tomas Ennegren sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Hao Xu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 43 minutes FC Bodil United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Toledo who took care of the corner kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wu Hao Xu was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Fredrik Kvarnström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Ascaso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. 79 minutes into the match, Simon Gahnsby notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Spain's Gabriel Ascaso. Gabriel Ascaso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. Simon Gahnsby might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Ascaso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Kvarnström kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Valeriu Hoisie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Herrero in the 91st minute of the match. Simon Gahnsby took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Ascaso. Gabriel Ascaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. The FC Bodil United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
