Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Niva in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Cleiton Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Armada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Recife in the 24th minute of the match. Vancouver Reds's Greger Sandström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by José Augusto Brito, made in the 26th minute of the game. William Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vila Mascote FC's Alfredo Arcos got a free kick in the 90th minute. Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rodrigo Ferdinand 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. In the 95th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense. When Grady Esposito was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. Grady Esposito hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was Vila Mascote FC's Cleiton Vidal that got to make the kick off. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 104th minute of play. William Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Niva in the 109th minute of the match. The Vila Mascote FC players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

Everyone could clearly see that both Vancouver Reds's and Vila Mascote FC's players was becoming tired in their legs when Vancouver Reds's Rodrigo Ferdinand did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. A collision led to Vila Mascote FC getting a freekick after 121 minutes play. Alfredo Arcos hit a great ball. In the 122nd minute Rodrigo Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 123 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vila Mascote FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Greger Sandström was slow to take the kick. During this time Vancouver Reds's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Benicio Valentine drilling the ball in to score 2-3 behind Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper. The Vancouver Reds players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
