Christopher Talbot kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Mike Salamone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Turi in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Crottos Crotters F.C. were awarded a corner. Filiberto Garikoitz went to the cornerflag to take it. When Leo Scalpello came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sliema Dragons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Scalpello couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Leo Scalpello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Haitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Depasquale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Eustaquio Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Quilo came free, but Mike Salamone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Leo Bailey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 31 minutes on the clock, Albano Erruki commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 31st match minute, Crottos Crotters F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Erruki to maneuver through the defense. Eustaquio Haitz made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Jean Carl Mamo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Turi in the 37th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Salamone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jean Carl Mamo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sliema Dragons FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 45th minute Hugo Quilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Salamone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Quilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Turi in the 53rd minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Salamone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Depasquale in the 55th minute of play forced Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goalkeeper Eustaquio Haitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac Grimaud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Leo Scalpello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Quilo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Salamone. Mike Salamone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leo Scalpello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Haitz having to interfere. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Cesar Telo was substituted for Albano Ramone. Crottos Crotters F.C. made a substitution. Ovidio Lluc replaced Rodolfo Madaleno. After 67 played minutes Crottos Crotters F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Remir. Sliema Dragons FC's Leo Scalpello got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Filiberto Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Neil Deguara got a free kick in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Timoteo Baldovino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sliema Dragons FC's Mike Salamone. Mike Salamone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ian Depasquale's late challenge caught a Crottos Crotters F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Depasquale helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Depasquale. Timoteo Baldovino took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Salamone. Mike Salamone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Leo Scalpello hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.

The Crottos Crotters F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Crottos Crotters F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
